Useful Tips
Here are some things to remember when availing your Dining Plan:
• You don’t have to use your snacks in a particular order. For instance, you can use all your snacks in the first day until you have depleted your snack allowance for the whole plan. Same rule applies for the other meal types.
• Make sure to make your reservations early. It is never a good idea to book for reservations a few hours before dining. Remember that the resort has lots of visitors, and there are restaurants that are very popular you will have a hard time getting a table. This applies especially to dinner shows, character dining, and table-service establishments. Secure a table by calling 407-WDW-DINE or make your reservations online at www.disneyworld.com.
• You can use your Disney Dining Plan for buying popcorn, Coca-Cola products, and frozen ice cream novelties at outdoor food carts, quick-service locations, and merchandise locations.
• If you’re dining with another person, make sure that your server will not confuse your card with the other one. Always remind the server which card goes with which meal in order to avoid errors.
• Your Disney Dining Plan can’t be used to purchase souvenir or refillable drink mugs, snacks and drinks from recreation rental counters, alcoholic beverages and some bottled drinks, and Photo imaging and Merchandise.
• Aside from the receipts, you can track your meals by contacting your hotel concierge for your remaining meal balance. This service is available 24/7.
• Kids ages 3-9 can’t order just anything from the regular menu. The establishments provide children’s menu, where young kids can choose their food and drinks. Kids under 3 years old can’t avail of the Disney Dining Plan, but they can share food from an adult plate at no extra charge. They can also order meals from the menu, and it will be charged as an extra on your bill.
• Some of the resort’s signature restaurants maintain a casual dress code for diners. Dress codes should be followed to avoid being asked to leave the establishment. Casual dress code means men can wear anything comfortable except torn clothing, cut offs, swimsuits, tank tops, and hats for guys. Men can wear trousers, jeans, collared shirts, and dress slacks. Jackets are optional. Women can wear dresses, t-shirts, sweaters, skirt, jeans, or dress shorts with blouse.
